I'm really excited to make them again and perfectly this time, but I can't wait to try out the other recipes in the book too. I'm normally quite sceptical about how much you can actually do in 30 minutes (I'm looking at you Jamie), but this book is definitely realistic with the timings. The ingredients in many of the recipes are also really simple - here was flour, sugar, eggs, milk, butter and ground mixed spice (which I would completely recommend having around the house to flavour anything from gingerbread to stir fry). You don't even need a doughnut tin - just use a muffin tray!
Up next on my 'On the Table in 30 Minutes - Baking' list are the Vanilla Sugar Biscuits, Molten Chocolate Cupcakes and Lemon Drizzle Squares!
What do you bake after work or when you're short on time? Do you have any hints or tips for speedy cooking?
'On the Table in 30 Minutes - Baking' is published by Parragon Books as part of their Love Food collection, which you can buy from Amazon. I was sent the book to review but all photos, words and opinions are my own.
